After some challenges I will show you what I have done.
First the top hatch it fits like a glove.

The top of the interior will be attached to the inner hatch ring.

This is the front of the sphere. I will make a new front so you will not see the white of the inner sphere.

Next up the fuel tank this is the bottom side. I have used the top hatch template.

Here you see the inner room. This is the space for the laser canon components.

And as a bonus the inner view of the fuel hatch.

Also I created a compartment for the reactor core at the back of the sphere. I have some ideas to make a core. I found a nice example that I can fit in this space. There is one thing I have to tackle how to instal the reactor housing as a removable part. I have some thoughts that I will test.

And I hear you all thinking how did he put the interior in the assembled sphere. Well I have used a scissor to cut the backside of the interior. Then I follded the interior to a minimum sized pack. The I pushed it via the top hatch into the sphere. Only thing keft is to glue it to the top hatch ring and the bottom fuel tank plate.

This was a earlier picture for test fitting.

O I almost forgot to test fit the wing.

Now I will finish the basic Raptor and after that I will design the add ons.

AWESOME! Sitting on this fuel tank is indeed quite an adventure: Lead, freezing temps, radioactive material and even hazardous organic stuff - the Empire knows how to motivate people!

Oke some things can happen fast as with the reactor and front panel.
The new front panel in place there will be some greebling added to the final build.

Reactor in place.
20230820_115214.jpg
Inside of the reactor. Here I will make the reactor core there is enough room to make something.
20230820_115225.jpg
And the last picture is the outside of the reactor. I have recessed the inner part of the reactor. I think its add a kind of depth.

I think the alpha build is done. Biggest problem for this model was to tackle the correct dimensions and fitting of the removable parts. Now I can start working on the templates.

There should be something red on the reactor because the engines look red. That will put it into the same design language.

Love the cockpit detail! I’ve always wondered if a “ship in a bottle” approach would be necessary to achieve this but it looks like you found a way.

Finally all templates are ready and printed. I guess I will end up with a total of ten pages.
Not as much as the bomber this time but still a lot of challenges to tackle.
:animated:
Now its time to beta build the Raptor.
I will keep you posted.
