I started making an anime character a long time ago, but then put it aside. Now I've got them out again and will try to finish them. These characters are not that simple, it's mostly about Pepakura.

Human figurines, in my opinion, are the hardest things to make in paper. Depending on the type of ink, you can moisten the paper, and round the edges with a rounded wooden dowel on the interior to smooth out the face. ;)

zathros is right. I started all over again. The next two parts in the picture above couldn't be attached and I don't like the face either. This has the following reason, which you have to consider with figures and I had no experience with it yet: it is the folding.
Here you not only have to ‘fold’ round, but also ‘square’ (see the nose), which is unusual. When I look at the parts on the figure with Pepakura, they are folded almost polygonally, all edges, otherwise the parts don't fit together (example picture).
Let's try again - everything can be done...;)

The squirrel eats with difficulty... Almost impossible without a ‘third hand’. I don't understand why these figures have to be square?

Very nice progress! Do you use the flaps on the parts or do you glue the parts together with paper strips on the backside? The latter will give you a smoother result. :)

Hi folks, I wanted to add this following part today. After three attempts, I have given up for the time being. It didn't work with either the folds or the paper strips. It's all just too small to get it to stick and then there's this crazy poligon folding. One wrong fold and you can destroy the piece, there are about ten folds to make.
I'm going to take a break from the figure and start another project.
