Zathros, i'm flattered, but there are more accurate builds of this mega model, IMHO.
I just try to maintain some level
And some progress with the model.
I began to assemble the partition that separates the engine compartment and the main hull.
But this is not just a partition, it's full of parts and tubes
First of all, I cut out the partition and adjusted it so that it fit exactly into the place in the bath
Then I switched to the transmission oil cooling system.
Oil tank
Radiators.Their design is interesting
I glued all the parts together and a radiator forms shape with cooling fins.
It should be noted that there is a design error here or it is still assumed that the assembly will be completed 100 percent by the robot
,
because one rib was redundant, otherwise the radiator was too wide. It is necessary to constantly compare the width with the mounting position.
And that's the progress by now

O.K., enough is enough, now you're just showing off!
I recall seeing the Halinski kits and viewing the prototype pictures on their website. I had presumed that these were simply a technically superb device to torture prospective modelers, and that no one would be able to actually complete the kit with the precision needed to do such a design justice. I was wrong - your work is absolutely superb, and I don't think a machinist with a mill could create a more precise reproduction of that model.

Well, this is a critical stage in the process and i have a decision about the engine...
It's going in!
I thought a lot about it and found theoretical solution that serves both goals:
to keep the integrity of a hall and to try to expose to the most this beautiful engine.
Option with engine beside the tank - no go. Too fragile and to complex.
Option to build another one for the side - no go. I don't have another half a year for this
So, in theory i want to make removable top, like i did in Pz.Kpfw.III and then the engine will be exposed enough to examine it from most sides, like in this stage on pictures below.
In addition, there some big openings in engine bay from the side and on top, so even with closed top it will be seen good.
I was a little worried in process of putting it in, since this model is to complicated to make little mistakes and i hope i placed it in right spot and everything will come together nice, in later stage...
Overall, engine set easy in to place, though i was in need to temporary remove and put back later two fire system hoses, that were in the way of big bottom tube.
The partition also entered well.
IMHO, the engine looks great inside, as it is outside

Quite a decision. This engine looks great in or out. Removable top is a great solution in this case.
I can understand why the engine is fragile and definitely can understand your worries regarding this and I can only wish you good luck on your journey. I sure will be following you.

You've got to embed videos like that, just click on the "Share" button at YouTube, then "Copy", and click on the button that has 3 DOTS and that will give you a drop down menu, check the one with the Video Camera Icon "Media, in this case, and paste the YouTube "Share" link, click "Continue", and your file will be embedded in the forum.
After inserting the engine I stopped to follow numbering and instructions and decided to assemble the front of the tank - transmission unit and gearbox.
The reason was my concern about open front - I didn't want to continue to fill the interior without knowing that walls are aligned and fixed.
By looking on drawings I realised that it will be interesting and challenging.
It's my first time to meet curved carton details and angle cut edges.
This power frame is very unique.
So, first of all cutting frame details
You can see on second picture the angle cut edge. I started to cut with angle from signed line to edge and then with iron ruler on edge and by the line cut until the end.
Then I curved carton frame with mice pad cushion and circled part and glued it by perimeter lines only on one side of walls. This way it was more convenient to assemble the frame, from middle to the sides.
Next step - skin parts.
Cut it all
and started to glue on power frame.
Here is a middle stage of this process.
You can see here details curved and ready to be glued in special curved shape
