Thank you I think at some points the model can be improved. For example the dimensions are too precise there is no room for error. I have ended up with some white tab areas if the designer made the colour areas a bit longer you would not have that problem. The same with the engines it is possible to design it less complex. But still its a great model.
i used a wooden dowel through the holes for the wings to pivot on.. easier than rolling the paper..
Welcome back lyter its good to see you here. I have read it in your build thread but I did use the paper version.
This is why it was decided to rely on manpower for propelling shortly after production. Proof:
Smal update working on some interior parts. First the back cabin seats.
Parts cut, scored and perfolded.
First glue the top and the the lower part.
Seat done you can see how smal it is. You need six in total.
I have orderd some optic fibres to see if I can light up this model. The fibres will go in the wing I will use electronics to get flashing lights on the wing tibs. The back cabin will have white and red LED's. And I will try to get the instrument panel alive.

The fibres are new to me so it will be try and error. The electronics is not that hard. I think I will make a new thread for the light and electronics.Thank you in advance for posting all the progress with the electronics. I will follow your steps one day
Reminds me of building the tiny little seats in my 2001 Moon Bus, fiddly but worth it... by the looks of things, my seats will be 10mm bigger than yours?
I'd love to start mine and have a 'Shuttle-Off' (sadly the Y-Wing is dragging me down!)
I collected my copies of the Shuttle last week, but the copy machine printed them off in a strange colour!!!
Firstly the guy did them in Black & White, to which I said erm, no - I wanted them in colour...
So I have ended up with an odd colour Shuttle one side of the paper and a black & white one on the other side!
The local firm has two machines and various people operating them, so the guy I normally use wasn't there... I think I might have to re-invest in another A3 capable machine...

O boy that doesnt look good indeed. It would be a very colour full model if you would build it. Are you going for the normal sized shutle or did you enlarge it? If so you internal structure needs thicker cardboard.
Luckily the prints were free... otherwise it would've cost me 0ver £20-23 Euros!
Yeah these are A3 sized, so by the looks of the doors and seats, probably about 1/72 ish

Lets start to get some light in the darkness.
First cut, score and prefold. Remove the parts that looks like lights.
Then glue some tin foil do not cover the light cut outs.
Remove the tin foil covering the light cut outs.
Glue transparant paper over the light cut outs and glue the remaining tin foil.
Light check.
And done.Next is to assemble all parts that goes in this cabin.
Also I have removed all the glue tabs for me uts much easier to place the cabin into the frame.
