After waiting for over a year its time to build the Tydirium shutle.
There are a few members who build this one before.
Its a beautiful ship the template only counts 18 pages and comes with an instruction.
This model looks like the movie model you can see that the designer put his love in it.
You can find the model via the link below.

So lets start to cut and glue some paper.

Update 30 March 2024.
When you are going to build this model please make clean cuts. Start with building the wings. Then build the chassis and check all the fittings before glueing. Keep an eye on the wing clamps I mmake a mess of it and had to make some adjustments. Overall its a very nice kitt and you need some skills to build it and take your time if not it will be a hard job to finish it.

It is for sure.

lyter1958 also made a build thread but unfortunately we never have seen the finished model.
This thread was the inspiration for me to download en build this model.

This template has always been in my build queue as well. However, I have been pushing it back, as I thought that my skills at the time were not up to par to build, at the time. SO, with that being said, I will be watching this thread closely. I wish you the very best of luck with this project!

I'm also following this build also. This is one of the few "Star Wars" ships that I really like. ;)

And Im on my way. First Im going to build the part shown in the image below.
20240105_175727.jpg
First I have glued the parts needed on 1 mm thick cardboard then cut the parts. This is a real blade killer when cutting the curved lines.
20240105_175711.jpg
To make the holes I used a hole punsher. You can see it in the picture.
20240105_175655.jpg
Before assembling check the fitting of the parts if needed use a file. If all fits you can assemble the parts.
20240105_175801.jpg
I used clamps to glue some parts.

One important note some parts are fragile dont worry if they bent you can fix it at a later moment. See the red circles.

This is it for today have a great weekend.

update 16 01 2024.
Before you glue the framework glue the parts as shown below to it. Otherwise its very hard to glue them to the framework.

This is an awesome model to build, built mine about a year or so ago. I have started one in polystyrene now. There is a few screw ups that I did on the paper one that I'm going to do better with the styrene one. You'll enjoy this model, it's very fun and a good challenge.

Only thing that pops to mind is where the wings attach to the body (its been about a year since built and my memory sucks). I believe the instructions are not very clear on how they go together, that was the biggest issue I had. You can see the gap in the picture on the left side, there shouldn't be any gap. I did fix it on the plastic one I'm building. Really fun build, excited to see your build come together!

That's a good start on the Shuttle,
nice pictures and comments.
( a step by step instruction as of how to build the shuttle :), for me and maybe others who wish to build it ;) )
