It's good work. I'd love to build something like that if I ever have the time or resources.
Ah those were the daysO, I know that from my first ever rendering of a flight over a water surface in Terragen. The machine was groaning two whole days to produce 56 seconds of film.![]()
WOW! Those are AMAZING! You are a very gifted and talented person!!!
Thanks guys you're very kind. Looking back I have a few criticisms, the caustics (refracted light pattern from the water surface) is too focused and defined and should've been a little softer, sea floor is bit grainy also. The fish species is mullet if anyone is wondering .No way, those pictures are taken in sea world![]()
Looks fine to me, that's quite an aggressive looking craft! Blender's capabilities and user-friendliness have improved a lot since 2007, you might be pleasantly surprised if you try it now.Unbelievable! The only thing I have EVER managed to render in Blender was a crude image of the Draconian Marauder in front of a blue starry sky background (in 2007!). To this day I have no idea how I did that - and I was unable to produce ANY renderings in Blender ever since:
Be cool to see it built. There's something exciting about having all those 1s and 0s transformed into a real object, for me anyway. I've heard a lot of good things about Rhino. Personally I'm a polygon/Sub-D modeller and Blender is my tool of choice but if I needed NURBs/CSG I'd be looking closely at something like this.I did this in Rhino3d years ago. I've done much better since, but the pics are buried somewhere in this forum! The model is a fully 3D model and is unfoollded. I just haven't gotten around to building it..![]()
