STAR TREK DISCOVERY: BOOOOO!!!!!!!

Back in the 1960s the series The Fugitive had a great final episode that wrapped up the story satisfactorily. Than the studio found that the series was much less watched in syndicated reruns than shows that did not have concluding eps. Thereafter the studios began deliberately disallowing final series wrap-ups.

Thankfully, some series makers started wrapping series again, but some still adhere to the other idea-- and for good reason. While series wrapping hasn't seemed to hurt the several Star Trek series, others seem to have no value in syndication. Who wants to watch the series Lost go through it's laborious tedium after it's miserable final season wrap-up? (Not me).

"Lost" didn't really wrap out the story as tidily as one would think though, just the destination of the characters. There was no real explanation of why or of the ancient civilizations, who built the original time dilation mechanism or even why.

In the age of reboots, wrapping up isn't as much an issue as it use to be, but there was once a fear that wrapping a series would limit starting it again or following up with a movie. The idea of rebooting makes producers less worries that they will damage a property.

In several series, that didn't wrap, the cast would do thing to hint it was the last episode filmed. In Star Trek's last, the principles made a point of appearing together to walk away toward the turbo in the last scene (okay, Doohan wasn't listed yet in the primary credits but was promised this in the unaccomplished fourth season. In Green Hornet, the cast all gathered together to share a laugh on the set. In the Night Stalker, McGavin made a point of running, stage left, after having accomplished getting out of having to make the last few episodes, in a comical manner.

"St. Elsewhere?" I saw one episode, and I was elsewhere for the rest. Yes, I could believe an autistic adult came up with it. Too make maters worse, not the guy who played in the series based on "The Psycho" by Alfred Hitchcock, he the main character as an "Autistic" is" Highly trained surgeon. What hospital, with today's complex malpractice laws would let an autistic person do anything except some meaningless, or if higher functioning, a job in a rehab center? I have an autistic Great Nephew, and this misrepresentation of reality does far more harm to that segment of society that already suffers enough. They ad a little bit of C.G. to show his thinking with superimposed bullsh*t, and when you're loved one is near death, you're supposed to believe the only person on call is a severely Autistic Surgeon that night? This series sounds like an "Do not Show to public" episode of "The Simpsons"! This series makes "Doogie Howser" seem more probable, (of which I may have watched 2 episodes, but just wanted to back fist that little twerp, so I stopped, a completely preposterous, never been syndicated failure.

As far as "Dallas" goes, I have never seen one episode. Larry Hagman without "Jeannie's" Barbara Eden next to him was not of any interest or value to me.
