My son is a HUGE WH40K fan, and has invested a GREAT DEAL of money into his collection. I have built a couple of WH40 paper/cardstock models for him. He is amazed with what all can be done with paper/cardstock.
I love being able to do this now moreso because it lets me using my brain in a way I don't normally do. In all honesty this is now the more valuable option with respect for both GW and proxies. GW models are lovely but now I question if I would want to pay for another one of their models, maybe one. This has me learning more than plastics do. I hope he doesn't feel like his collection is devalued in any way. You get a quality product that takes it's own skill to create into a good looking product. I find myself using more mathematics and studying models in scale and dimensions for this task.My son is a HUGE WH40K fan, and has invested a GREAT DEAL of money into his collection. I seriously doubt that paper WH40K will deminish the value of the GW models. However, I do feel that paper WH40k brings more people into WH40K as a whole.I love being able to do this now moreso because it lets me using my brain in a way I don't normally do. Thanks. It took me a minute to remember what to do in the app. It works out pretty well. I just create a duplicate layer of the page and cut out what needs changed and the rest gets scrapped, then I can take what's left of these new layers and flip them, reposition them or do whatever I want. When cutting things out of the main layer it reveals a black background so I just copy a portion of white paper and paste it over black spots that crop up.Nice glad the flipping worked.
Thanks. I based this on Jim's Hellblasters. This is a cool design.![]()
