Slave One building thread.

The basic shape of the Slave-1 is done.
First glue the cockpit window.

Then attach the fenders. Dont forget to glue tabs on the fenders.

Next the front shovel also glue tabs on it as shown in the pictures.

Next glue the iron side. Also glue some tabs as shown in the picture.

Its important not to glue the tabs on the side of the fenders yet. See the red circles. The moodel is a bit out of shape I hope to correct this when all parts are glued. If not then I will make internal formers.

Im missing the building instructions .
Im working on the side parts and the pdo doesnt give me a good view how to build the parts So I took a break to keep the peace between the me and the model. I try to make some clear pictures for the next builders.

Im pleased to show you the part that gave me a hard time its the landing gear. It turned out not that bad at all. There are some small issues that I will explain later in this thread when I do a step by step assembly of this part. But for now you have todo it with the nect pictures.

I want to show you my progress from the last few days. Here you will find the assembly of the parts needed for the landing gear.
Parts to br cut end the end result. Besure to score the lines before cutting.

Bend the scored lines and preform the parts.

Glue the enkel to the leg.

Then close the feet to the enkel.

Glue the botto to the sides.

Glue the sides to the top.

Close the door and this part is ready.

To assembel the two components use a rolled piece of paper as internalsupport.

Glue the rolled paper in the leg.

Attache both parts toghetter.

Im not sure the name of this part but it looks like a showel. Below the assembly of this showel. Parts to be cut score the lines before cutting.

Preform the showel.

Glue the side.

Glue the other side.

Glue the both front ends.

Glue the inside strip. First the bottom then the sides. Check the corners for good fitting.

Next the small strip.

Also the bottom and then the sides.

Attache the mounting tabs. And the showel is ready.

Nect to come is the main part of the landing gear. Lots of lines to score and glue tabs.

Thank you all for the nice comments. Its hard to stay focused on this build. But when the last landungear is done there are no more complex parts left to build.

And now the big part from the landing gear. Its dificult to explain where to start so this is how I started.
Score the lines.

Pre fold.

Gently

Pre form. I used my own glue tab.

Glue as shown in the pictures.

Glue the side strip. Jold it in place for a short time.

Connect the red circled area. Use hair clamps and wait untel glue is cured. Use the same prodedure for the side part second picture.

Dry fit the side. First glue the top part and then the bottom part.


Connect the top of the landing gear with the bottom.

Glue toghetter to the side.

As you can see its lot of work to assemble this part of the landing gear. Lets go for part II.
Glue the side of the landing gear.

Nee part to be connevted to the landing gear.
Score the lines and pre form it.

Start gluing the edge and pre fit before gluing the rest. The shape, prefit and glue the rest. Close the sided as last.

Glue the part in the red circle.

Time to adf somr details.
All the fetails.

Pre form, dry fit and glue the front. Then glue the rest.

Next detail at the side of the landing gear..
Pre form and dryfit. Begin gluing as shown in the 4th picture. Then glue the rest.

For me this part of the model gaveme a headache. I vouldnt find the right way to assemble it. So I ttyed something and hope it looks pretty enough. I cant ecplain what I did so try to use the imagrs to get it in a useable form.

Next up its fitting time use anyway to get it in place Im not sure how I did it. Ooo and on the way I cut of the part in the red circle I didnt need it anymore.

Last drtails to put in place. I think its not a winner but for me its good.

And the last part for the landing gear. Not that difficult to assemble I used my own tab. Next up will be the engines.
