The wing is assembled and mounted to the body. Like I mentioned earlier, pay close attention to making certain that everything lines up properly. Otherwise, the wing will warp and it will look like rubbish.

These are little mounting brackets. Make certain that when you put them on, that they are fully nested in the seam.

Here is another "slug". I raised the detail of it.

The "slug" goes on the edge of the wing.

As you see, I have raised the detail of both the inside of the exhaust and the details of the exhaust mount.

I like your work on this one. The designer did a really good job modeling a complicated shape. Very nice model with a lot of potential. I prefer models like this instead of boxes with graphics drawn on them.

:Congrats:

That looks great! Yes, getting such complicated shapes right is quite a challenge. Not only for the designer but for the builder as well. What surprised me is that the texture is darker than the texture on the version that comes with the ship pack. Nevertheless it is easily recognizable as one menacing and aggressive fighter. What's best about it: It doesn't need a CI because the original doesn't have one either! :D ;) I'm sure your brother will like it! :)

Have you seen the sand texture paint Rustoleum sells? If you could find the right color, I think they would match the texture shown in the series, maybe with a satin finish on it. Looks great that way it too. :)

Thank you all very much for your kind words and encouragement. It really does mean a great deal to me.
As for painting it, I am not at that level yet. I have not really done anything with actual serious painting. Granted, yes, I have built plastic models, however, I only did the bare minimum of painting. I have not even learned how to do weathering.
With that being said, I have looked into a few Youtube videos on the topic and my son does quite a bit of professional level painting. So, I may look at trying my hand at it soon.
