My mini models

Fiat Campagnola Nuova

Another Dakar is underway, so I decided to continue the series of slightly more elaborate mini models. To start, I chose a simpler Fiat model that participated in the Dakar in 1982. To start, I modified the bodywork - windows and lights, and made a simple interior with a crew...

Very nice!
You don't realize how small these models are until you see them on your hand.
And the diorama brings them to life.
Great work!

The interiors you put in these models makes them pull you in deeper and deeper. There's no sense of scale and with so much detailing, it's shocking to see how small they are!! :)

...thanks :)
In the past I only posted photos of finished models here, maybe some of the photos from the construction will be interesting...;)

I don't have much time at the moment, so only a little progress. The car is finally on wheels, I also made a tool box in the back (according to a video on YouTube that I found). I still have details on the body and a small base waiting for me...

Thanx ;)

I don't do more detailed reports for several reasons:
-it takes up time that I could use for the actual gluing
-these models are so simple that I consider it unnecessary
-and lastly, I'm too lazy to take pictures and write a report about it...:)

I can take more detailed photos of the future car, but then don't complain that I'll write things you all know. ;)

I know exactly what you mean. If I am in a hurry or have to keep a deadline I do take pictures but do not post the build in real time. The editing of the pictures can be the most extensive part which could affect the schedule, so I postpone that until I am sure that I have enough time to complete the build. :)

I agree with you, it takes a lot of time, I work on 4 forums (Slovak, Czech, and 2 English) + I have my own website and since the new year I have also added publishing on Facebook... luckily I don't have any deadlines right now, I might show up at a new exhibition in Trnava next month, but I'm taking older models there, so hopefully there will be enough time for a more detailed future build of a new model here on the forum ;)

So I'm done...a little recap:

Fiat Campagnola Nuova

Scale: 1:100
Author: FDS model

A few words about the model:

I haven't found much information about this car. The car took part in the Dakar Rally in 1982, the crew was Agostino TOCCI / Carlo FUCCI and they finished in 19th place. There aren't many photos, but you can find an interview with Agostino TOCCI on YouTube, where he describes the modifications to the car, if you want, you can watch it here:

My modifications:

Based on the photos and video I managed to find, I managed to modify the mini model a bit... Minor modifications are from the wheels to the roof. I will mention at least the most important ones:
-finished interior with crew...
-small modifications to the lights, wheels, I added mirrors, wipers...
I dusted the car and added a simple mat, a few photos:

Hummer H1 Dakar

The Fiat is finished so I'm slowly starting to work on another car from Dakar. This time it will be the Hummer H1 from the Dakar rally 1999. The car was for sale when a detailed video was created to help with the details. Since you wanted a more detailed process for gluing my mini models here, so it will be documented in the most detail here (and on my website), elsewhere I will then, as before, present the completed units and the finished model.
The model can be downloaded for free at minimodel.sk. I print the models on a Canon G3010 printer, which is filled with ink directly, I use original Canon ink. I print the model once on office paper in lower quality because of the instructions and then in photo quality on matte thin photo paper (I use HP PROFESSIONAL INKJET PAPER 120 MATT), I print some parts several times - then I use them to create details. Otherwise, for the beginning, I only need glasses, a magnifying glass, a scalpel for cutting out parts, a blunt scalpel for scoring, scissors and tweezers. Now I cut/cut all the parts, then I log in again. ;)

Is there a model of the Lamborghini LM that ran Dakar? Love the Hummer H1, but the LM series has that gorgeous Lamborghini V12.
