Lenshead Type B (CHARCOAL) (rebuild with greebles)

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS MODEL AND A FEW OTHERS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
So, back in 2012 (while I was living in Wroclaw, PL). I first built this model (as-is) and entered it in a paper model EXPO (and had won an award for it).
Since I had to leave all of the models (to include that one) in Poland, when I returned back to the US. I decided that I should rebuild The LENS HEAD ROBOT collection again (granted, I am not going to build them all at once, like I had done before). However, this time, I am adding all of the details and greebles that I wanted to originally.


I printed the parts sheet three times each, so that I can get the greebling and details that I want.


This time, I am chronicling the build and posting each build section according to the instructions.
This is section ONE (1).

Thank you both! Yes, there is quite a bit of work to detail out each part. However, I think that this model is well worth the time, effort, energy, and work that I am putting into it. Granted, I am no longer going to expos any more and the state and county fairs are no longer running (because of CVOIC-19). However, I still enjoy the build.

Makino Shunichi has mentioned that he is going to be redesigning the entire "LENS HEAD ROBOT" collection (with the possibilities of adding additional robots). WIth that being said, Nothing has been fully confirmed as of yet.

Thank you! It was a fun build the first time, and now that I am greebling it out, it is even more enjoyable of a build now.
I like the fact that the greebles are challenging and improving my skills.

I am trying to challenge my skills in some way with every build I do now. But Money gets tight and I may slow down as I start working thru my stash. Aurinax has been sitting, waiting for me to attempt, for over a year, and my 1/144th Millennium Falcon is still sitting and waiting. It's almost 3 years in the stash.
I want to light the Falcon. so it'll wait a while longer...

Money is another reason why I mostly build paper/cardstock models. WIth that being said, I have quite a few BSG and BRTC25 plastic models that are in the queue as we speak. However, they will be waiting for quite awhile, as I have other projects that I really want to finish first.

Here are all of the components for the leg as a whole.


This is the "strap" that goes in front of the leg. I decided to line the inside so that none of the "white" of the cardstock was showing. It looks more "realistic".

The leg is now fully assembled.




Both legs are finished. Yes, the legs are off slightly. I want the robot to look like it is "walking".







Next up, is the arms.

Here is the first section of the arms (basically the shoulders).



There are the parts for the shoulders.


Parts are assembled.


The shoulder is complete. As you can see, I have added some detailing and greebles.






Both shoulder components are complete.


On to the second section of the arms.

True, you can. However, there are actually a few (minor) differences between the two models (as shown in the pics below).
