This is the Orel Web site in the Ukraine where you can get one of these kits. I also bought the photo etch kit, the wooden masts kit, and the laser-cut parts kit, and the sails pack.
I have a "spare" Flying Dutchman Orel kit that I will be putting on eBay. I bought it as a backup in case something went wrong, but I didn't need it after all. I see that their Web site is currently not offering any models due to the terrible situation in the Ukraine where the company is located.
This is definitely a level 5 on the 1 thru 5 skill range. To build the model as you see it here, you will need to purchase many additional items. The instructions are very basic when it comes to rigging and other areas of the construction but I have done my best to include those areas in this build thread.
You will need the following items to build the basic version of the Flying Dutchman ship without rigging or sails.
