I will take some beauty shots and add them here as soon as I can. Thank you all for commenting and supporting the build :toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::toast::)

This is the Orel Web site in the Ukraine where you can get one of these kits. I also bought the photo etch kit, the wooden masts kit, and the laser-cut parts kit, and the sails pack.

I have a "spare" Flying Dutchman Orel kit that I will be putting on eBay. I bought it as a backup in case something went wrong, but I didn't need it after all. I see that their Web site is currently not offering any models due to the terrible situation in the Ukraine where the company is located.

This is definitely a level 5 on the 1 thru 5 skill range. To build the model as you see it here, you will need to purchase many additional items. The instructions are very basic when it comes to rigging and other areas of the construction but I have done my best to include those areas in this build thread.

So, I went outside and was going to start taking some photos. Then, one of the guys that lives at the place we are staying, came out to see what I was up to. He asked a bunch of questions about the ship and one of them was what types of wood was it made from? I told him it was a paper model, and he wouldn't believe me! I said yes, its paper and cardboard for sure, I guarantee it! People don't realize how awesome paper is for model building it seems?

Here are the pictures
