Good morning.

It's 62 and clear. The high is expected to be in the mid 80's and it'll be clear with plenty of sunshine.

I made the decision yesterday on the upgrade of my DCC system. Today I'm ordering a Digitrax DCS50 and having it sent overnight mail. The Bachmann system will be going into mothballs should it be needed again. Speaking of which, I have a brand new Bachmann EZ-Command system that's still in it original plastic packaging. It's the transformer, controller, documentation and DVD. Anybody need one? I'll also be stripping the decoders from a couple of Bachmann locos today. I have a couple of Athearn locos waiting for cheap decoders.

Good morning folks

It was 53 F this morning on its way to 70 F.

No trains last night. My daughter’s volleyball game was exciting. Things started off with a change in time. Her game was scheduled for 4:30 PM but it was moved up to 3:30 PM. I did not find out until 3:15 PM so I was late getting there. Apparently the bus bringing the other school’s 8th grade team got lost and was late getting to her school. The other team was very good and well coached. My daughter’s team won the first game 25-23. They got whopped in the second 25-13. The sudden death game was exciting and ended with my daughter’s school winning 17-15. My daughter played all three games. She scored several points on volleys and had a few saves. Next game is Tuesday against Beverly Hills Middle School which is Drexel Hill Middle School’s cross town rival and the other middle school in our school district.

This weekend is nuts. Tomorrow and Sunday we have Cub Scout Popcorn Show and Sells at a local hardware store. My son is working both days. My FIL wants to take my daughter out shopping for her birthday. He has been trying all week since her birthday on Monday but volleyball games and practices, music lessons, and school stuff have prevented it. We also need to do the grocery shopping.

I will be happy if I get a chance to look at the trains this weekend.

hi all, i had a bad spell this AM, gasping for air, body not adjusted to only having one lung. will take a long time i think. im waiting to hear from my oncologist to find out what the next step is, there is just a few cancer cells left in me,, i want to hurry and wipe them out before the take a hold and spread again.
 
GOOD EVENING, we got some sun today but a chilly 58 was tops. Not any big train news, I still want to box my MPC berks but It's tough decision as I know I probably will never take them out again. So I keep saying I'm going to, but just stalling as I guess I really don't want to. It needs to be done though. Enjoy the weekend...S.J.
 
:wave: been yard selling again today will do it again in the morning and maybe on Sunday. Made $19.00 today. If the weather holds out maybe business will be better in the morning. More train money:steamtrain:

On a down note a former neighbor shot himself and his girlfriend. Very sad news as he left behind a young son.:cry:

We went up and cleared the perishables out of our trailer. Also drained the water -- the campground will "winterize" it as I don't have the pump to put fluid in. Expect to take some cousins up next weekend but only for a look.
Brampton train show this weekend. I don't have any responsibilities so easy day, but I may be coming down with a sore throat.
 
Got an email tonight that TRAINZ shipped my preordered witches brew car/platform and also my Santa gateman :)
 
Rock like I said the other day one step at a time slow down don't blame you on wanting to get the cemo done but slow your pace till you get use to just one lung. I came out fine in fact they said they saw no blockages at all they said my arteries wwere clear. This is where it get interesting because when I had my last heart cath done about 2 1/2 years ago I had a small blockage where an artey connected to the main artery suposely. Will find out more when I see my caardiolagist on the 3rd of November.

Good morning folks

It was 55 F as we headed out to setup our Cub Scout Popcorn Show and Sell location. High today will be 68 F.

My son has popcorn duty from noon to 2 this afternoon so we will be heading over there soon. Afterwards we may go to the King of Prussia Mall. The new Lego store is running a promotion where they are building a 8 foot Yoda in one of the courts. The kids get to build parts of the figure.

No telling if I will get any train time in.

Well did the yards sale again today and made $20.00:cool: Not much left but some clothes and a few books If I can not sale the stuff in the morning it will go to the Methodist "free" store where it will go to people in need.:thumb:

Went to eye doc and got a new prescription - $200 bucks gone for 4 exams and one pair of glasses for the family. They priced out a new script for my wife at $500. :( Oh well, it's just money I guess. Spent the rest of the day putting some metal shelf units together and bolting to a wall in the garage and then taking some others apart and moving them down to the basement. Also moved stuff around in the garage into the new storage I created. Hey - apparently the wife thought I did a good job!

Sounds like a good haul, Jeffrey. Nice scenery again! I pulled a muscle in my neck moving some metal shelf units. Oh well, it will get better. Need to run to Walmart for meds and stuff in a little while. I was going to work on the basement, but maybe just a little wiring later on - still need to wire the bathroom. TTFN!
