Picked up a big history of trains in North America at a book fair today and also a copy of Nuts and Volts as I'm trying to learn electronics at least at a very basic level.
Cool

If you want to learn some neat stuff look at radio shack for their engineers note book series a small book with circuits to build and learn from realy like the 555 timer circuits and the operational amplifiers op-amps it sounds complicated but they are very helpful and entertaining as well.:thumb: Soldering tip use a good verabile temp iron from Unger or weller for most projects a soldering gun is over kill:mrgreen:
At a bare minimum you will want to learn 1. Ohms law 2. Identify basic components and their schematic symbols 3. And how to use DMM Digital Multi-meter
