Hello everybody
August ended, September flew away, October said goodbye, November came by and here I am, saying hi :) :) :)

So I took a longer than expected brake. I moved into new house (well it's new for me..) and all the fix ups, furniture assembly, door renovation project I just couldn't get to this model.
Yesterday I got the box with the model out and there I saw that there is alot of damage to the ladder frame...
This is how it looked after assembly.

And the result of dropping the box and the humidity getting in is seen in the attached pics
The damage is very heavy on one of the beams, some crossmembers disconnected, front suspension got off and everything seems to be crooked.
So, I am gaining my strength to deal with this unpleasant situation. Wish me luck, first leg of fixing operation will be conducted this Friday ( hopefully)....

Good luck and don't give up!
Remember the Stormtrooper on Speeder bike i build? When i did final photo session to completed model, one light plate accidently fell on the model and all the front of speeder was ruined. But it is paper and it can be fixed. So I fixed it and no one notice since. You will do too.

Hi Boris,

i agree with snake7 on this. Don't give up, you have good access to the parts, you can fix this.

Good luck.

Hello everybody
A small update this time.
I was trying to find transparent sheet that would fit this model. Remembering that the front windshield frame is thin but the windshield is panoramic ( it was first panoramic windshield in Soviet made trucks). This all means that the transparent plastic has to be thin but not too soft.
I had a wonderful 0.3 mm plastic that works very well in vacuum-formed canopies. But it is too thick and stiff.
So, I searched... Found a nice 8x10 cm plastic from my kids' markers wrap. Pretty stiff but only 0.18 mm thick. So, I could continue.
First I added the inner wall with a handle bar. Then continued with doors, windshield and cab back wall.
The back wall got me sick. Made from 3 parts, two lower have a very intricate curvature with a top part added. Everything is edge glued. I stopped counting how many times I tried to fix these parts after 10...
In the end I got something that looks acceptable...
Doors didn't cause any trouble, need to be very careful with inner cuts. Sharp knife is a must here. I even managed to leave the separating frame between the roll down part and the front swivel part. We're talking about hairline about 0.5 mm thick...
And no special trouble with the windshield.
Then I tried to connect the doors to backside wall, no real advance here so I stopped before I cause damage.20201128_031736_copy_1024x576.jpg20201128_031745_copy_1024x576.jpg20201121_043953_copy_1024x576.jpg20201128_005532_copy_1024x576.jpg20201128_010517_copy_1024x576.jpg

I'll take your word for bad fitment, but the model looks great. Having an interior just takes it over the top. I might print out another dash, and raise up the instruments (or set them back, to give the dashboard some texture, but that's getting picky. This one fine looking model!!! I found a pic of the dashboard someone else modeled. Probably a more modern one, but you get the idea. ;)
