I like this truck so much, I found it, and put it on my "bucket list". You've done a great job on this. I really like Soviet Era equipment. It's practical, get the job done stuff, over built, made to last. Most of it has the look of the 1950's American stuff which also makes it classic looking.. You've done a great job on that cab. :)

Hello all
Started the rear compartment. I had to form the cover by two walls, which was not an easy task. Finally I managed to form it, but if the part wouldn't be covered by thick layer of Americans finish, it would be too flimsy. There is no former inside.
Pump compartment was glued to rear wall.
Then the floor of the rear compartment, which I had to reinforce with cereal box cardboard.
The wheel wells were of no special trouble.
The designer suggest installing the wheel wells after mounting the compartment on the chassis frame. Well, he was right.
So I mounted the engine on the chassis , then the crew compartment, the rear compartment, rear wheel wells and the wheels.
Then I made and mounted the steps, rear water line port, rear lights, licences plate and these parts on the rear that I don't know their function.

So it begins to look like a firefighters truck. There are still many things to make on the roof of the rear compartment. 20210226_234715_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_001611_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_005219_copy_1024x576_1.jpg20210313_005219_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_005527_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_010453_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_010509_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_010517_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_011539_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_013244_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_013251_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_020224_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_020333_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_020437_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_020440_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_020446_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_020450_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_025121_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_032346_copy_1024x576.jpg20210313_034823_copy_1024x576.jpg

Boris, you have made what would seem something that would not be modeled into something that SHOULD be modeled! You've taken an everyday truck and shown all these beautiful vehicles around us that scream to be preserved in art. You remind me of Ronaldo from Brazil, who is modeling all the vehicles of his country. Well done!! :)

Ronaldo has some new real beauties on his Blog. Link = http://paperoom.blogspot.com/

Thanks Zathros.
I really like making this model, despite the design issues and the mistakes I made.
One of the reasons is that I have so many powerful childhood memories about these fire trucks.
And yes, we don't really see "everyday" vehicles, as you put it, made into models, especially paper.
