Moving at a fair old pace this week, I can say I'm thoroughly enjoying this build...
The Main body was next up and an absolute pleasure it was to construct - it folded beautifully and everything came together really well.
With the main body flipped over, I inserted the the body pan and added a few pegs to see how it fitted, very nicely I thought - then it dawned on me there needs to be a front end and a back end plate added in here too...
A quick read through the instructions and a look at the parts - 29 & 40 really needed to be fitted first methinks
Starting at the top with pegs to hold everything straight, the front and back plates were added
Now back to where I started again - bottom in and re-pegged = lovely jubbly
Outside panels next up - consisting of four laminated parts, all very easy and straight forward
These were edge painted first, then added to the outer hull... very nice
Underbelly leg and greeblie mounts consists of two simple boxes and a large rectangle - easy
not too taxing...
...and added to the under-belly. Be careful here to get your little box part here in the correct position
Dreaded tube sections next, possibly some kind of engine/transmission thingy?
All cut out and bent around a couple of pens and left to sit for a bit
Whilst the tubes were resting, the back end plate was cut out...
...and all are ready for touch ups and paint before adding to the underside... I hate tubes!!!
...AND WE WILL LEAVE IT THERE FOR ANOTHER NIGHT. NEXT UPDATE WILL BE SATURDAY/SUNDAY - JUST DEPENDS ON THE 'HANGOVER!'

Kind and welcoming words of praise, I thank thee...Your doing a superb job on this. The weathering detailing is very convincing!!. The whole models looks very "right", no mistakes. Well done.
This is progressing nicely! This template has a great deal of greebling potential to it.

mine was pretty much an off the page build, still finding my feet with these type of kits lol. Only issue i had was with the feet/ankle/piston parts - foot is like a bell that wants to go forward, back, left & right and the inside stabiliser piston wants to stay fixed where it is so i may have to fix the model in a desired pose. Overall a great kit though and really enjoyed building it.ill see if i can grab some pics soon

Yes they are a simple, but great design which was all too short on screen time

A small amount of work and probably the last for a week as I need to file my tax return (Cue workbench being taken over by paperwork!)
Back plate of the walker dirtied up and streaked with fluid leaks with some paint and bottom rear-drive doo-da added.
Rear plate greeblies sourced and ready for cut-n-crease duties
The underside was painted to remove all the printed writing/copyright details and bottom tubes added with some staining/weathering added.
More oil and dirtying up will be put on under here later on.
Top parts of the legs or possibly regarded as main hip joints.
Hip joints under construction and neck section added to the head
With hip joints constructed and awaiting paint touch up, the next part of legs x4 selected

This is also my favorite star wars thing, perfect job so far. Reminds me a conversation with my wife that I had recently. My friend posted me a picture of sweater with at-at and I show it immediately to my wife and her reaction was exactly something that Leia would said "NO! YOU DON'T WANT THIS UGLY WALKING BOX ON YOUR SWEATER!

The Accountant gets his fee, the Government get their cut and I get left alone for another year
Cheers, its quite hard to achieve a half decent look on one dimensional prints, I will definitely re-visit this in the new year by going 'LARGE' and cutting holes & adding plating etc
Sit your wife down and show her the 'Attack on Hoth' so she can see what it is...
Failing any more interest from your partner, just buy the jumper yourself - I'll post a pic of my Christmas AT-AT t-shirt with the finished model
