It is from new Star Wars online TV series Mandalorian. It is ship of main protagonist, bounty hunter looking like Boba Fett.

Has anyone here built this kit? I’m in the middle of construction and have had a semi difficult time with it. Just wondering if it’s the kit or just me.

remark the first 7 pages are in A3 format. I had to print a second time
Yes, this is true, and easy to miss. I found several issues that I worked through such as misfitting parts, texture alignment, non symmetrical fold lines, and a non optimal build order. Still working though thumbsup

It shouldn't be too difficult to scale it down so that it prints in A4 format. ;)

I tried rescaling to letter format and it was roughly 60%. Many parts were too small for me. Also, the parts are very spread out with a lot of empty space. I ended up using the snapshot tool in Acrobat Reader to print at full size on letter.
Is anyone else building it? I’d like to know what your experience is/was.

I copied all the parts onto 13 x A4 sheets, keeping the original dimensions. Some of the larger parts 1 divided into 2 parts, overlapping the joints.
I found a lot of problems with the tab locations. a lot were in the wrong position and clashed with the tabs on the corresponding parts. Also I think it would help if you constructed an internal rib cage as I found that after assembling the main body, it was totally distorted. The artwork itself was very good, it's just that the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. You must scrutinise the pictures very carefully to see how the tabs are folded, inside or outside. Also, dry fit the parts as some tabs may need to be trimmed.
I cannot understand why A3 format is used as unless I am mistaken, the majority of modellers only have an A4 printer?
Otherwise, congrats to the designer for an interesting model.
I used MS paint to do the transfers to A4 size.

I'm sorry to hear that so many of you are having such trouble with this kit. Someone should start a build thread on it, documenting all the issues and trying to find a way to solve them. ;)

Get rid of the tabs and make your own. It will make dry fitting easier if you make 90 degree fold tabs and glu one side on, allow for the thickness of the paper to push the tab down, so the edges align, then you can dry fit the parts and cut or add to fit. :)

I have decided to start this model again and I will publish my progress as I go along.
As a first step, I opened up each pdf page in GIMP and then saved them individually as page 1 to 8 Bitmap files. Then, one at a time, I opened up each page in MS Paint and copied the parts one by one and pasted them onto new A4 sized pages. Some of the parts were too big so I divided them into 2 pieces. I ended up with 13 x A4 sized pages.
I have also decided to number each part to make assembly easier.
The main problem that I found previously was the tab positions so I have started to relocate them on the drawings to make assembly easier.
As I build, I will fine tune the parts and then upload the relevant pages to Mediafire as they are completed.
