Almost always work havsies... no sense modeling something twice... just have to make sure that when it is mirrored it is a copy and paste...or your textures will think they are on the same half and be reversed on the mirrored side. See that all the time especially with decals and text...

I suck so bad at any kind of weathering type texturing, I wouldn't dare try and mirror something I can't get a grip on. I'd have to do it after the model was made. I was great at adding bullet holes, and rust on plastic model tanks. Virtual texturing just is beyond my comprehension. I have tried the "U and V" thing on Rhino so many times, and it just never works out right. Oh well. :)

So here we go, all the "other bits" :)

IMGP0010.JPG

The"head"/beak section was a bit tricky due to the amount of grebbles and lamination I put in.... I like the way it smiles :)

And here we go!

IMGP0011.JPG

the dent on the top due to a bit too much pressure while glueing...

As you can see,the Executor is getting the hell outa there!

Or not...

except for getting the curve of the wing right it wasn't too bad. I made things a bit trickier by lamintating the inside of the lit areas with 160gms black card. got another idea I want to try with the next one, starting soon.... :)

Work on those seams. Try the Star Trek "Work Bee", and light that up. It has a full interior, and is seldom built. PM me if you don't have the model. ;)
