Clarifying your Bleach to water Ratio.. I have a chart below that is from the CDC on making strong and Mild disinfectant, they recommend the mild solution for your hands. Too strong on the Bleach can make one more susceptible, as your hands progressively burn and then you can get a rash, very bad. Look at the pic, remember, this comes from the CDC, not me.

Takamine makes fantastic guitars. I pray for you wife and father, may they find peace. May you find peace.
I had to stop playing guitar because my right hand cramped up so bad from my broken neck. Ironically, when I picked up a Violin, that cramping went away, and in two years, have got to the point that I can play some of the easier Mozart and Boccherini pieces, some Irish jigs, and other songs. I have also taught myself how to repair them, and have machined all the tools necessary for setting them up. I make my own bridges. It is quite wonderful to play music and enjoy the whole process. It's a personal best thing for me. I restored this 1947 Georgi Johannis Violin circa 1947. It plays beautifully. I also have a Knilling Violin and an Eastern European one that sounded horrible, till I made a new bridge, re-positioned the sound dowel inside. I do love my Georgi Johannis the most though. ;)

That is a beauty! being a cabinet maker, I also got into instrument making and playing...Started off with making Dulcimers...and progressed up to the last being a Hurdey Gurdy, I just love the sound!
I have a Beautiful Violin that was passed down to me by my Gran Ma, that was from her Grandfather... don't know if it is really this old but there this pasted below the soundhole... "Nicolaus Amatus fecit~in Cremona 1645" ( Nicolas Amatus Made in Cremona 1645) ... It needs a good cleaning...I thing Spruce top with Tiger Wood for the rest...It just sparkles!!

Actually I just checked and it was my GREAT GREAT GREAT Grandfathers...they emigrated in 1850...so it could very well be..if handed down from father to son...WOW! There were others but they were knock-offs out of Germany or Czechoslovakia in the 1900s which is after they got here... but even so...Mine is by FAR in better condition than any of the repo's selling out there -- even if it is one!!

Violins depend more on how the wood aged, on how it was constructed, than almost anything else. The Violinist cannot tell how he sounds as hee is too close, and the sound wave has not yet fully developed. It takes two or more people to buy a Violin. Sounds like you have a keeper. My cousins niece got a $60,000 dollar scholarship to spend at the school of her choice, no strings attached, for a Violin challenge she answered. I was very proud of her.

I have machined all the tools vor seting up a bridge and tuning the bridge to bring in the color of each string, that what those holes and notches are for. :)

Now I have even more time on my hands, so here is another finished mini, pics taken in full sunlight. A 28mm scale Female Human Druid, with a squirrel familiar, figure by Wizkids, Nolzurs Marvelous Miniatures.

2 minis almost finished in just 3 days,
Both are Wizkids Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures, a set with 2 minis,
The first is a Harpy, her base is The Army Painter Battlefield Stones, and burnt tufts.

And the other is an Aarakocra, Bird Warrior from the Elemental Plain of Air. His base is supposed to look likr he is flying above a cloud, it's just stretched cotton glued to the base and contured.
