The only suggestion that I would make: Paint the edges to mathc the colour of the parts.

I have always used tempera water colours and dry brush painting.

Oh heck I just remembered he's got extra cloth bits that hang from his breastplate! I still have to cut those out and stick them on him.It looks realloy good! I can see greebling potential in this model.
