The problem with markers, is that they can bleed into the parts.
I have always used tempera water colours and dry brush painting.
I have had that problem. I use a fine tipped sharpie and that helps mitigate this problem. I should probably invest in watercolors.
I thought my original piece had large pauldrons. They're still cool but I redrafted for some pauldrons that come stock with Jim's Captain.

Here is my work on the Aspiring Sorcerer uncolored in a PDF format. It's been a struggle to get to the drawing board lately but my efforts will never cease until my work matches the Rubric Marines in their unrelenting advance. Hopefully soon I'll have this bad boy colored so they can lead their squads of rubricae into battle.

Work so far on the main body of my Aspiring Sorcerer. I wished posting was easier. The past couple of times Zealot tells me the picture is too large.
You can edit your photo's on your phone or computer. I rezise my photo's to 40%
Use a max size of 1000x1000 pixels and you should be fine. PhotoFiltre has a great batch processing function which may be handy for resizing. Unfortunately I have no real clue on phone apps which can do this (I recently was looking for one but apparently free apps which are able to provide such a basic function like resizing are hard to find, so I gave up in the end and stayed with what I know best

I have run out of glue. It is a sad day. At least I have made the staff and crown. I will have to pick up more next week

Feast your eyes! He ain't perfect but I am happy with him. I can't explain the red streak on the inferno pistol. Must have been a printer problem because I used zero red on the pistol. The staff comes out a little longer towards the legs so I couldn't stand it up. I think to remedy this I could've pitched the pauldron and arm up to make way for the staff's length. I didn't make the front of the headless colored in the black area but I think I will be able to update the template now. The pistol having white peeking out was just my bad folding technique. If there's anything I've learned it's that I love this hobby, but I'm also not the greatest at it. Let me know what you all think.

Oh heck I just remembered he's got extra cloth bits that hang from his breastplate! I still have to cut those out and stick them on him.
