Thousand Sons

Thank you to everyone for your support and respect. I believe I'm almost done. I really only need a tabard and to make the reverse side of the power pack, the latter involving more outlining but relatively trivial whereas the former I believe I'll take a fairly uniform KSons insignia. Not too much more needed. My next step is to figure out how to scan it with my printer so it's saved and can be printed again and again. I think after this I should either make an upgrade sheet for thinks like the Icon of Flame and alt weapons or start on the aspiring sorcerer.

Thoughts on what I should do next? Of course I need to cut these guys out and build them, but what unit should I make next? I need to make an aspiring sorcerer and an exalted sorcerer. I also want to make a dude with a soulreaper cannon and icon of flame. Before continuing overall how is my work so far and is there anything I should address? What would y'all like to see me draw next?

I don't know about the genre much, but I'm excited to see how this will come out. ;)

Thanks @zathros I would recommend wargaming in general. Doesn't have to be Warhammer. I've seen some games based on WW1/2 era battles and even older periods based wargames made in a similar fashion to Warhammer Armageddon, featuring epic scale figures poised to strike each other on a gaming table. One thing I would love to do is to combine this with train models to have a functioning train system on battlefield.

I'm looking forward to see you building this model. Maybe start with the first figure you mentioned, thats how I work most of the time.

One down. I may go back yet and redraw the template. The backpack needed to clear the head piece so I glued a small spacer between the body and pack to achieve this. Let me know what you think.

Very nice! You did a GREAT JOB on this project (especially for being a handdrawn template).
Thanks, that means a lot. Where credit is due, I referenced Jim Bowen's and Dsin Zdan's templates to modify them with my own art. The headdress and tabard are actually the only things I measured out on my own whereas I did change Jim's pauldrons and gun to reflect this model better. The power pack is actually an amalgamation of Jim's and Dsin's templates with some modifications from myself. The body and arms are Jim's template, with some modifications on the arms. All of the coloring is done by myself with some PrismaColor pencils.

I think Games Workshop will go bankrupt if these paper models go trendsetting:BRAVO:
I'm not so sure but I think it could inspire change in GW's business model. I wished they were open to lowering the price of their stuff or offering things at a different price point, like through subscriptions or payment plans. It's hard to think about paying for it on top of other life expenses. They're not really doing anything to help make it easier for the consumer.

I tried Warhammer many moons ago, and the price was what kept me from getting in to it.

Me too. I had gone half in on a 9th Ed. Starter box with a friend. He kept half and I the other half. I soon retired the idea for issues with price and sustainability, along with other areas of life demanding attention. That’s what brings me here today. I want to help make this hobby more approachable.
