This is Julius Perdana's astronaut model from paper-replika.com. I have re-scaled it to 1:48. The model is very detailed. At this scale assembly has become a real challenge and I was not sure if it would be possible to do it with all that tiny detail work. But as you can see it is coming together nicely. I take my time.

However, the model is designed to be static. I wanted to increase the mobility of my little astronaut and added some simple joints to the arms using a toothpick.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE work! I've got a friend who collects Apollo era memorabilia and I haven't been able to find anything I can afford as a Christmas present that he doesn't already have... Think I'm gonna make a passel of these with your joint addition and call it good!

I very much want to see these pictures, but all I get are blank picture boxes. Not even thumbnails show up. I've tried it in 3 different browsers, on multiple computers with different IPs, etc.

To keep this thread alive, I have decided to take a little break from uploading, to bring you a small update on the progress of my diorama.

I scratch built both a flight ladder and a creeper scooter to go with my diorama.

I will be making more items and adding them soon.

You beat me to it. I have the references and the start of the crew ladder on hold and other equipment for the hangar. I have been holding out but eventually I will get back to the Viper appreciation thread. Keep the thread alive before it becomes necro.

I will make a template for the crew ladder, and I will send it to Revell-fan for clean-up and revision. Then it will be released as an "accessories" kit.

I will not let this thread die!!!
