Thanks for the compliment! As for the Excelsior, my progress on her has been slow. I may not post any more pics of that particular build, my printer wasn't working great when I printed out that model & I've had some frustrations with it. However, I have been seriously considering starting a Star Trek Starfleet build thread apart from this Galactica thread. There are so many more Trek models available than Galactica models, & I probably have more Trek builds under my belt than Galactica ones. I haven't posted many pics of those though. For every Galactica ship I'm building, I'm usually building 3 or 4 Trek ships. Now that I've gotten used to the forum, & getting into a groove of remembering to take photos of progress made, I may as well be posting the Trek ships too. I think the Excelsior class ship is one of my top favorites in the Trek universe. So, I'm hoping to make the revised version of the Excelsior one of my first builds if I do start that thread. Followed closely by the Enterprise B.
( I really love that ship!) Anyway, sorry to ramble, you just rekindled some ideas I've been toying with for the past few months.

I like that suggestion for the thread title, I think I shall use it!I honestly think this thread she be renamed, The Building of the Galactic Fleet". Your work has been so excellent.
I am of the opinion that you should keep this as on long continuous thread on the whole fleet..![]()
Chad,Here is a teaser "Glamour shot" of the almost finished model, with another space background I've been experimenting with. More to come soon!View attachment 149395
Thank you Skyseeker, I hope to finish her very soon! This model has dragged on long enough. I only have to finish the 6 small thrusters attached to the rear of the 3 engines(2 for each engine), & then clear coat. Yes, I have been procrastinating just a little bit. My sad Hulk fingers aren't looking forward to it, but I will still get them done & post some final glamour shots, hopefully in the next few days. Then I will continue with the Colonial Movers build.Chad,
You've really outdone yourself on this model!Great job!:King: Love the greebling!

Always like the comparison pics. Especially when you have to design something from the ground up like will be done shortly with the B5 - VORCHAN (just have to make time). Here's another scale comparison. I love these scale comparison pics. Actually, I've noticed the Gearz TOS Galactica & Jaybat's Galactica are similar to this pic in size comparison. At least the builds I have hanging from my ceiling seem so. & nice to see the size of the Galaxy class Enterprise next to them. Just thought I'd share.:robot2:View attachment 149503
COOL!!Nice picture, I going to use it as my desktop background if it fits, (I have a big monitor).![]()
The bottom pic, of the rear of the ship, I came across on Pinterest. The top pic I came across looking at pics of various Galactica ships on Yahoo. I went back to see if I could find it again, & couldn't. I'll keep looking. There seem to be only a small handful of any kinds of pics of this ship. That picture of the Geminon Traveler is outrageous. Where did you get it from?
