So, back in May of 2010, I did a beta build of the Warhawk for @ThunderChild. Here is the link to the old thread: https://www.zealot.com/threads/thunderchilds-warhawk.167779/#post-905080
Unfortunately, I have not built it again since. So, I have decided to give it another go. However, I have decided to build the harder version and add some extra detail to the model. I am also going to be more detailed with the build thread as well.

2 more, you making the headpiece to go along with it? :noteeth:
Are you talking about Hawk's headpiece? If so, no. However, making a "Hawk" figure to go with the rest of the EDD figures would not be a bad idea. Then again I would have to look at doing the Searcher crew and a few others as well.

So, I have started the construction. Here is the section that I have started with.

I will be adding more detail. Yes, I will chronicle these details as I go.

Here are the photos of my progress thus far!

Here are the parts for this section. As you can see, I did make internal formers to add to the fuselage (part A-1) for added support and rigidity (*NOTE* Internal formers for the fuselage do not come with the kit).

Starting with the lower "beak" (part 6), I started working my way from the outsides and working my way inward.

The Beak is finished.

Next comes the landing gear bays and doors. I started with the bays.
20191024_205340.jpg

As you can see, I raised the slats inside the bays.

Here are the doors for the landing gear bays. I raised the slats on the doors as well.

Now on to the main fuselage. I attached the landing gear bay doors to the fuselage.

The landing gear bays are attached.

As I mentioned earlier, I made internal formers for the fuselage (part A-1).

Both the fuselage and the Beak are now finished. As you can see, I did raise some of the panels on the fuselage.

Here is the upper fuselage.

Starting with the cockpit section.

I raised the back panel two levels (both the dark brown and light brown panels).

The main cockpit section is down (without the front canopy).

Here are both main parts of the upper part of the fuselage.
20191025_180728.jpg

I attached both parts, starting from the front working both sides at a time towards the back.

I have attached the upper fuselage to the lower fuselage.

Here is the back plate for the fuselage.

The back plate is attached.

These are the parts for the top cowling.
20191025_190205.jpg

Instead of making the "boxed" cowling, I decided to laminate the top and bottom parts for the cowling. Doing this makes the cowling stronger.
20191025_204842.jpg

The cowling is assembled.
20191025_205344.jpg 20191025_205354.jpg

The cowling is now attached.

Here are the parts for the engine exhausts.
20191026_091605.jpg

I laminated the interior piece with the exterior piece so the seams will not be seen.
20191026_094123.jpg 20191026_094134.jpg

I laminated the gray slats and the black ring to give it more of a "realistic" look.
20191026_133222.jpg

Both engine exhausts are finished.
20191026_151837.jpg

The exhausts are attached.

Here is the rear view of the fuselage.

Looks very clean and nice... I have had this one for ages as well...If I ever get bored. this might be a nice distraction! I found this sometimes ago and thought it would be fun to adapt back to the original concept, as it was never used.

After I had attached the engine exhausts, I had shown them to my fiance. She said that the outer parts look great, however, the inside looks a bit lackluster. Then suggested that I create something to "spruce" it up a bit. So, yesterday, I came up with this exhaust grate system. Granted, I know that these new parts are not canon, however, it does add a more detailed touch to the finished product.

Here are the parts.

The parts are assembled and form a concave shape.

The new parts are applied. The
