Hello everybody
It has been a lot of time since I published on this forum.
Just began the Liebherr digger designed by nosports (Chriess) and Retunga
The design is interesting. No cardboard is supposed to be used and according to instruction paper heavier than 80 gsm should be used. This brings to using internal reinforcements and complicates
the build. I will use the 145 g/m2 paper.
All in all, the model looks impressive with working boom and swiveling body.
The instruction is an overwhelming 70 pages booklet with explanations and pictures.
So first, according to instruction, need to assemble the inner part of the swivel joint and mount it on main chassis. Then need to make and install outer part of swivel joint. Then I installed outer cover and made a locking mechanism
Afterwards I started with parts of the tracks bases
Looks good for now, except that I made a mistake in making body slopes above the tracks bases. I will fix it later.
