so bit more done since my last post, in between coughing my guts up (that time of year again lol) greeblies are reprinted parts cur out with knife & remounted on various degrees of card/greyboard etc. The six round vents atop the rear hull were mounted on 3mm greyboard discs cut to size as the card strips to make the sides were not up to scratch. ive been adding bits n bobs as i go while completing the main build, using images of the original movie model as reference. Pic quality isnt great but ive been adding rust streaks and damage taken from reference images. Still a l o t to do yet before taking on the empire lol.

A truly quality build so far @seraphim - but from a nit-picky Star Wars fan, you have installed your gunnery window incorrectly.

I say incorrectly, but please note this is your model and I'd suggest you tell me to take a running jump!

I only point it out as I was quite happily building the DeAgostini 'Build the Millennium Falcon' and they got it wrong with their supplied parts. It took the masses of us on the forum to sort all the inaccuracies out on a £900 model! Which at that price you would have thought they would have done their homework.

Thoroughly enjoying your build and look forward to seeing more...

well aside from a few finishing touches and mounting it on its display board (itll be wall mounted) its pretty much done, i feel im at the point of going too OTT with touch ups, fixes, greebling etc for my standard atm. Ive been going over the studio model images and recolouring here and there, adding damage & weathering etc, so ill get all the pics sorted in the better light tommorow.

well id say shes pretty much done without me going overboard and greeblying to death. I know theres a huge amount more that can be done with this kit, but for my current levels of skill (and being very used to plastic kits etc) im happy to leave it at this point for now. Itll be mounted onto a black poster type background to be hung on the wall and ill get some more pics when thats done. If you want a great project you can really play with and enjoy detailed builds - i can highly recommend this kit, another one of many fantastic kits by a great master - i hope my efforts reflect this. (oo and i corrected the gunnery window lol)
