I am moving to ARKANSAS!

I actually follow a few cabin builders who live around Russellville Ark. People who bought acreage and turned forest and field into homesteads.

Very nice! "Homesteading" has always fascinated me. However, it is something that I have never thought about getting into.

I have found that it is good to keep a sharp edged shovel or hoe, or a .22 rifle close to hand in the spring and summer...... for snakes.
the worst ones here in Arkansas are the Copper head, and the rattle snake.
If you have a good since of smell, you can smell them long before you see them. They smell like a cross between rotted meat and a skunk.

Thank you very much for the "heads up". I will keep my eyes (and nose) open.

Well, upon my return after a spell of ill health, it would appear you are off to pastures new...

Wish you well for the future, and hope you take care of the family at hand
I hope that you are making a strong and speedy recovery.

Thank you very much for the well wishes.
We have quite a bit to do to get established here.

Thank you, each day is different, but I'm slowly and hopefully, with fingers crossed and wood touched edging towards 'normality'

Good luck in getting established and 'stay frosty'
