yes a true PITA, as it suffers from the Tardis effect, the interior is bigger than the ship...

The Doctor Who makers were very clever to make this a major feature of the spaceship. They could revamp and expand the interior as the story required and the regeneration was a clou that ensured that the show could run forever. However, DS9 had cooler space battles..!

I think the scissors on Part 34 make a angled recede for the pylons?

I have no idea where part 37 goes. A guess would be internal support

As I recall, the part 34 split areas form over the flat part to create a rounded hull shape.

Correct on both
Part 37 goes inside... just forward of the scissor mark on part 34.
