I'm glad you like the thread! I look forward to seeing you build in the future and I'd be happy to let you know anything I've learned (not that I'm Any expert)Thank you for the build thread. I tried this a few years ago but it didn't go well. I ended up with another boulder. Anyway, this helps a Lot and I will try again following your lead.
Thanks again,
Dave
ACTUALLY, you appear an expert builder!
Well, my priority was they lined up and looked correct, so i put a load of glue on the nacelle and pylon and held the nacelle in place so it glued in the correct place, but not flush to the pylon (see pic). it means there is a gap but wonky nacelles would have bugged me!! Had the model been plastic I would have put some kind of putty in the gap but don't have a simple "Card" solution to fill gapsWhat was your solution to the nacelle issue?
Back in 2013, I posted a thread on a very simple and cheap way to make "paper putty" to help fill gaps and cracks in models. Here is the link to that thread:Had the model been plastic I would have put some kind of putty in the gap but don't have a simple "Card" solution to fill gaps

I hope that it will help you!Paper putty
Years ago, my grandfather use to do carpentry as a hobby. He would save all of the saw dust during (and after) his projects. If he needed any wood putty, he would take some of the saw dust and mix in some wood glue to the thickness that he needed and then use it to fill in the hole, gap, or what...www.zealot.com
You are more than welcome. I hope that it will help you with your projects!!!Great idea
Thanks
Hey RB you might want to make a downloadable PDF of this technique.Back in 2013, I posted a thread on a very simple and cheap way to make "paper putty" to help fill gaps and cracks in models. Here is the link to that thread:

Glad you liked it.When the pdmccool Runabout surfaced I was floored. The amt model had long been sold out like the Revellogram Voyager and the Thunderfighter so the paper version was the only one to go. I was online at the local library almost every day in order not to miss the release (I had no internet at home back then). It's great to see this being built.![]()
These are the "latches" that keep the center pod attached to the rest of the ship, as the Runabout was originally designed to be modular. I designed them in this odd shape because they needed a thicker shap than just layering card stock could achieve.Page 6 Part B
There are some rouge detail parts with no apparent location
I'll keep them to the side, hopefully there location becomes clear as I move forward
Hey Rosco, great to see you again here!
