The cockpit of the Aries 1-B is very different from the Discovery, unfortuantly. I'm gonna go Internet hunting tonight, and see what I can dig up.
 
EVA Pod to scale

UHU02’s Discovery is approximately 1/100th scale. So yes I reduced his EVA model to match.

Damn.............. So, more future work, I see before me...........:eek:

My plan is to keep the command sphere detatchable from the rest of the model. So, any mods can be carried out without too much damage.....

What was your reduction percentage of the pod model ???
 
ah....for every mood a new command sphere...

with pod .....without a pod.....with 2 pods...:-) ah.....how do you feel today :-)

the baby pod looks super..this would bring this model to the next level...

Where are the lights?...the alu rod is a tube....so an easy way to bring the lights to the front..
i even slept over the zathros idea of a connector...
When you use CAT6 cables (i did) you can use the normal rj45 connectors so you still change the command sphere..

Eva Pod Scale

The exact reduction from UHU02's PDF file is 18.26%. You could probably round that up 20% and be close enough. I was very careful when I rescaled this. From internet sources I found that the EVA Pod Bay doors on the Command Module were 11 feet in diameter and the EVA pod itself was 44 inches spherically. I downloaded some Pod drawings and scaled them, then using the earmuff sections of UHU02 model I scale it down to match the Discovery model.
 
Correction!!

I did a stupidwall1. I pull thoughs demensions from my head which leaks. I checked my notes. The pod bay doors are 11ft 6 inches and the spherical diameter of the EVA pod was 80 inches. The internet source for these dimesions is:

The Discovery build, has become a bit like life, at the moment......

Everything going on, but nothing coming together....

It's just a case of waiting for all the work, and all the time, for all the little things that matter, to come together and fall into place......:-|

Slight progress...

Extension panels for the main reactor module, built and fitted 'in the flat'.
This seemed to help in keeping everything true and level. (and linear..! Sorry! :oops:)
Gonna do the same with the two parts of the engine module.

Will catch up with more soon.....

The Fokawe tribe are a very small race of people....

A little more..

Progress is slow, due to life and all its strange ways of working !!!

Engine module is complete and attached to the reactor module in the flat.
Gonna fold up and glue the whole thing tonight....
Then start on the engine nozzels themselves....

A few small touch ups to do... But, structurally complete. Just the engine nozzels to finish.

The large flaps will be sealed down once the nozzles are attached.

The engine/reactor module I am leaving detachable. So, I have adapted the model to fit the temporary construction stand, and not the other way round, for now. :mrgreen:

Wow, that really is awesome!! I like the way you left space in there for some big D sized ESTES rocket engines..................only kidding! :)
