A rainy weekday in October and the monthly visit to my local model group was in order.
Resurrected after a good few years was the reintroduction of 'bring and build' kit night - scale was chosen at 1/144th scale.
A few intrepid builders brought a selection of their tools, paints and hairy sticks to do battle!
Time allotted was two & a half hours - plenty, so I thought!
My kit of choice was bought of a club member a pair of Tomcats...
Crusader, according to this member it was awful kit!
F-20 chosen here...
Derek constructs a 262 and a Lightning takes shape...
One happy chappy with a Eurofighter...
Only a few managed to finish their kits, I even tried (and failed) to do both my Tomcats, but failed miserably...
Derek's 262
F-20 so nearly there
My effort, spent too much time on my pilots!
Mirage... I think?
P-38? another fully finished...
The awful Crusader (without cape!)
...and finally a Eurofighter, my favorite of the evening
We had a lot of laughs and fun was had by all - I hadn't made a plastic kit since 1995 (apart from the odd Bandai no-glue or skill needed) but still it was great to get stuck in and then wonder where the time went!
I'll finish the F-14's when time allows
