(TIE Fighter) Sphere water shaping by DanBKing, in collaboration with Mijob

"Play the work with no innuendo - just honesty. Trust will follow." ~ James Kerr (I will do my best to keep innuendo out of this tutorial...... );) One of the most difficult shapes to create realistically in paper modelling is the sphere, or ball.... This shape is especially prominent in...

    Alien(s) Narcissus by DanBKing

So, here we go..... Back in 2010 or so, I attended an Amsterdam Comic-Con, where I had the great pleasure of meeting the renowned modeller - Lee Stringer. He had on display, his nearly complete, fully accurate model of the escape shuttle NARCISSUS, from the 1979 Ridley Scott film ~ ALIEN. I...

    2OO1 ASO Station V

As I think most of you know by now, my favorite film is 2OO1 A Space Odyssey. I started into paper modelling, (and also finding Zealot in the process,) with the goal of possessing paper models of all the main space craft from the film. My most favorite ship is the Discovery, so that model...

    Ninjatoes Original Viper Mk. 2

A while back I lost all my data and photo collection, thanks to an unrecoverable hard disc crash. :Computer: Over the last couple of days, I have been going through my rather large collection of spare hard discs and usb drives and came across these photos. The model was built for a good friend...

    Warming up, with Optimus Prime.

Without actually getting into a punch-up with Optimus, I'm gonna take the big fellow on! Ok, albeit his 'Vehicle Mode' version created by Julius Perdana at Paper Replika. I just love the look of this truck, the Perterbilt 379, which appeared in the first 'Transformers' movie. I actually...

    It's been a while........!

Hi there! I bumped into @Rhaven Blaack on a social media platform recently, that motivated me to stick my head in here and say "Hi!" after a very long absence......! :) I have been completely out of the hobby the last few years, for various reasons which I won't go into detail of here.... ;)...

    A Gilded King.

A few months ago, a good friend of mine gave me a whole ream of various high quality cardstock, most of them with metallic (silver, gold, gunmetal, aluminium, etc.) finishes. I am rather fond of lions, the king of beasts, so, using some of the aforementioned cardstock, I decided to pour...

And yes, it DID fly ........

Now what about this bad boy..........:surprise: I think a few boxes of paper would be needed to model this beast, even at 1/48 scale!! https://www.warhistoryonline.com/military-vehicle-news/seriously-the-kalinin-k-7-bomber-actually-took-to-the-air.html

    PaperMike's "Smurfette" by DanBKing

I did not take any photos of the build of this model, but I thought you might like to see the end result..... I printed the template using a printer that I had not used before, and it turned out that the ink/print quality was terrible. It did not matter how careful I was, the print cracked on...
