    Betty (Alien: Resurrection) 1:144

Hi Josh, this model is NOT FINISHED yet, there is still a lot work to do. Skoda's build is just some kind of... alpha test, he is receiving piece by piece from me, once the Betty is finished she'll be availlable FOR FREE. Good news is that I'm drawing the textures for the wing , which is...

Thank you all, I'm really glad you like it! :thumb: Here is the first layer of the rust, mixed brown, red and black oil color, applied in small touches, then washed with soft brush soaked with thinner. I'm going with just one thing in my mind now: DFIU! (Don't F..... It Up!) tooth1

I've been busy to make the base for the beast, well, it wasn't the best idea... Basic parts of the bridge construction is taken from Alin's ultimate Bailey Bridge, others are pure fiction. Everything is made of thin cardboard. Pillar is created in Sketch-up, printed, heavy laminated and...

Yes, they are! :D But I hope I'll do that...once. :D They are preety much the same as yours, and those joints takes forever to do, but it's the only way to make them believeable.. Mine are not accurate too, there should be small pads in the center and some rivets, but I can live with that...

Judge Dredd Badge 1995 under construction

Nice one! Anyway, there is a badge made by Jan Rukr, much easier but still nice: http://aliens.humlak.cz/aliens/aliens_papirove_modely_gb.htm With Book of Law. And, well, with Lawgiver too.. ;) P.S.: Seems you'll have to click the Banner Menu on the right side of Jan's site and look for the...

    Repainting?

For the edges it's good to have school water colours set, easy to use and you can mimic any colour tones in few seconds, just do not use too much water. Nice, retouched edges will improve your model a lot. :thumb:

    Repainting?

Hi, I'm using Humbrol or Revell classic enamels with no problem, but it's good to have large parts laminated in any case. Few layers of clear coat (very thinned) applied with big soft brush also clean up fuzzy edges. Just watch vhat you are using, (enamels, acrylics) for base, color, coat, it's...

My pleasure boys, thank you all! :thumb: Well, yes, tracks are my nightmare, I'm spending about half a hour on each and need some, I don't know, 100 of them maybe... And, will they fit the shape? :-| We'll see... Slowly working on weathering, glossy surface is my friend for now..:

    Betty /Alien Resurrection/skoda/ 1:108

I've asked Skoda to create moveable "arms" in this big scale, but it's not that easy, a lot of hydraulics parts and the weight of the engines makes it almost impossible I think... Anyway, engine pods will rotate, and believe me, it makes a big change of look for this beauty.
