    Try Crimping Hi Steamhead, Try getting a small pair of needle nose pliers to the rail joiner and giving a little squeeze. This should crimp the rail-joiner and re-establish electrical contact with the rails.

    Serial Numbering??? I thought that most manufactured items would have a serial number. Take a dozen summer students and send them out into the yards to check the serial numbers on all the wheelsets and then tag them as RTR or RIP.
