So far, almost good enough
Howdy!
Still the green light shines on my WIP, but I'll have to admit that it's a shimmering, faded one...:cry: Well, I was able to attach the neck to the dish and the whole set to the body.
Here's how:
pic 1 - to see if it would work, as well as to have an idea of where I should glue the front neck, I first glued piece #57 to the saucer (or dish, whatever!), leaving the ends unglued;
pic 2 - I glued the front neck part to the back, but left one side OPEN, so that it would embrace the neck "bone" structure;
pic 3 - I glued the ends of piece #57 to the front neck, and connected the whole set to the body. Still have to improve on the glueing of the back of the neck to the body, but it's still acceptable.
BTW, there is an error in the instructions about the neck, but it's only a misnumbered piece.
Of course, I tested the body-neck connection a few good times dry-fitting it, and ONLY when I was POSITIVELY SURE, I went for the real thing.
Problem: the back part of the neck got positioned a bit forward than it should be, in relation to piece #57. Although it' s a bit off tolerance, I think I will keep going on. Comments?
