Death star data card

I dicided todo a side project next to Tie Raptor.
Its a quick and easy one to design and build.
Below the original data card as used in ANH.

And this is a replica.

The next one is the paper version. The dimension are 145 mm long, 75 mm wide and 1 mm thick.

Only thing left is to design the small bar at the bottom of the card.
To complete the build I will designs a suitable card holder. (No not R2D2).

This looks quite interesting. It is a great prop addition to the Star Wars collection.
I have one question though. is the "gold" circle (or any part of it) raised at all?

No there are no raised parts its a straight design as is the ANH data card. I wil try to give the pcb lines a volume lok with the back of a pencil.

I hope when I use clear spray that the gold plate will become glossy.

Make traces that look like Regular Playing Cards in the corners, and you'll have "Star Wars" Computer card playing cards.

Dif some cutting tofay on the data card. Here are some progress pictures.


First I glued the parts of the card handle. Tomorow I will try to score the lines from the top and bottom layer.

Tonight I cut the card grip.
The card is glued and is drying under 10 kg of weight. These I will cut later this week.


Hhmm the color is a bit of it should be darker. I will make a reprint.
