Thanks, I've always loved the Phantom II. The Thunderbirds F-4 final show as my first experience with a sonic boom... Kelly AFB Texas, an SR-71 did a low, slow pass, but was ordered to cuba... It left in a transonic climb out. The SR passed thru the Mach at 5500 Ft AGL, Even the buildings shook.

A fine little Phantom, I've had a 74 Squadron F4 sitting in my stash for years...Fujimi or Hasegawa. I was going to build it for my late father who was an RAF M.P with Fighter Command during the 50's 60's - 74 was one of the fighter units at the time and had a really cool tiger motif.
The Phantoms were ex-USN machines operated over the border from me - they Suffolk, me Norfolk, but only ever saw them fly at UK's RAF Mildenhall Airshows of old.
Nice tale of the SR71 too...we had them Stationed at Mildenhall - first seen at my old school playground when it flew over escorted by F15's, then one airshow display where it was put through it paces...happy days

@micahrogers I'm just curious, what Putty do you use for your models? I need a putty that will work with Resin.
I use AV Vallejo Plastic Putty,. It is a water soluble acrylic resin with marble dust in it. It goes on like any putty, cleans up with water while wet, and once dry, is carvable, drillable, and paintable.

Do you use the Vallejo primer too?
I use an old set of Testors Hobby sanding films, and I mean old, 2001ish. I also use a set of sanding sticks, Stevens International, grits from 100 up to 1000 (No Amazon link found) Vallejo primer and a mix of Vallejo and The Army Painter paints.
