Star Wars Moldy Crow - Building Thread

Hi together,

another ship on my to do list the Moldy Crow. I first saw it in the video game Star Wars Jedi Knight.
There a two models available in the net. I decided to to the 1page version, but..... as it should at least be not smaller than every fighter I built I enlarged
the parts.
Of course some parts have been separated. To put them togethger I made some gluing stripes, as can be seen on picture 3.
I thing this is the best way to solve this topic.

----------------
This model is not very detailed, therefore I have printed out the pages two times to be able to add some details.
At the end the edges will be painted and a weathering will be added.

I am very curious about the result.

Great, unusual subject. I have it on my todo lis too. Lots of nostalgia for me - I had a great time playing the game.
It is nice simple model, I am couriouse for your detailing.

As always with StarWars models, there is no definite "right" size of the ship. What size/scale did you choose? As seen in computer game or bigger one?

Great!! Greeble those squares on the side with angled rectangles, the model begs for it!! Good choice! :)

That looks great! I'm following this closely.

If you want to further detail the ship Millenniumfalshood's Crow has a cockpit interior:

scale/size: neither on the instruction page nor on the page with the parts a scale is mentioned. I enlarged about 4 times - but this is still no hint for the scale.
the lengh of the body is approximately the same as the Imcold X-Wing model
greebeling: I will do on all sites, but what is ment by "angled"?
model link: I know the model - it is the .pdo from goozi and has no cockpit interior. As far as I understand, this model was the basis for the building of Wedge, but he made many additional parts - like the cockpit - himself.

Oh, sorry - I may have to take a look at it again.

I think zathros means: Cut the rectangles from thicker card and then carefully trim the edges so that the top is a tad smaller than the bottom (= cut them off at an angle / schräg anschneiden).

So far everything looks great, starbuck! :)

Thx for the explanation. I did and will do this way.

Cannon and more details.

Holder for the wings looks a little bit too instable at the moment.
I will skip these parts for the moment and finalize the rest first to be able to evaluate whether and how to inforce these holders.
