some more stuff...
1/3rd of the full space dry-dock. Large enough for 2 Imperial Star Destroyers in the bays. Interior view. No textures just a bit of Ambient Occlusion to bounce some light around. Used NASA 4k galaxy map for a light source, way too many stars..need to back it off a few notches!

Well, according to the canon the Imperator Star Destroyer is 1.6km (or 1 mile for the non-metrics ;))

And yes, the class is called Imperator, not Imperial :) I guess the question is how would the Star Destroyer be docked? End on to the supports or docked abeam?

Agreed!

Out of curiosity, how goes the animation mentioned in post 17?
I have to RE-DO all my old stuff like that. External HD with years worth of Back-ups crashed and failed and as yet I have lost parts of those files, I still have some of them in Blender format or Rhino but in almost all cases lost the textures, which will have to be re-done if I really want to use that model again. I can re-do that file and get back to where it was before the crash and still have to render it out in Unreal. Been too busy recovering other things for now, or just moving on and doing new stuff.

After watching all the 40k stuff like from @Sudsy I got the bug and did this one yesterday.

@Gandolf50 Both of these look GREAT! You did a FANTASTIC JOB on them! I fully understand what it is like losing both models and files. When I moved back to the US, I lost of the models that I built. So I have to go back and rebuild my entire collection. Not only that, but last year, my computer crashed and I lost everything.

Pardon me while I drool all over the details here...

...so, if you make the Snow Speeder a card kit...

Yours is a far greater loss as I only lost a BUTT-LOAD of files as well as all the assets that went into making them, so basically, I just lost the time I used to make them. Nothing tangible. Most can be re-created or re-downloaded. On the other hand, some that I had really wanted I still have back-ups and have gone back and actually re-built them as I was never satisfied with the original. Still, approx a year's worth of work is a years worth of work... C'est la vie!!

Could be just don't hold your breath! Still, have a lot of things I need and want to do first. shame I can't find someone to convert this stuff to Card Models for me!

Boy, that's gorgeous! Gandolf, are you making the textures yourself?

Yes. I use Substance Painter for a lot of textures, and for creating the stuff I use in Substance I later picked up Substance Designer... Big learning curve ... but worth it!

Gate made out of NODES and placed on a box... the only model is a CUBE. Made in Substance Designer.

Amazing models and texturing Gandolf.

Thanks!

I am converting this Snowspeeder 3D model (not made by me) to card model(cockpit included). I can promise it will be finished but I do not know when:).

Nice 3d model and textures! Will make a GREAT card model... BTW I haven't checked as yet but does the speeder have landing gear? Don't remember ever seeing one with them.
