More Pics - Ship #8 - Neucom
Bottom joining to the top assembly. As you can see I started at the rear of the model joining the two sections together. Note the cut made to accommodate the rear magnet. The rear magnet was also cut at an angle to allow the gluing of the rear when the top is placed on the bottom. This provides greater clearance of the magnet with regards to the top.
At this point the rear was glued up to the center of the model. Glue is now added to the bulkheads to the rear of the last magnet in the pic. The rearmost tabs that can be seen are next glued and then you work your way to the front pushing in the sides of the model to line of with the bottom. Tricky, but not impossible.

Bottom view. Note that the nose was quite tough to line up. For some reason it kept on going to the right. The problem was over come by bending the nose slightly downward and slightly crunching the left side. Seemed to come out ok.
Rear View. I'm showing this again because of clearance issues

:robot3: with the lower rear struts and the other models when the models are joined together.
It's hard to tell from this angle, but the struts were moved outwards 5mm for both sides. The struts had to be cut away from the model and reglued.

Extra pieces were removed and white areas were colored in.
View of the model after the struts were re-positioned. Regardless of what you do Jan's design is such that it fits well.

Will show the full assembly when done with the fighters.
That's it for now.
