Yamaha MT-01 Ultra Realistic build

Zathros

Very impressive. You know if you replaced that spring with a real one and made the swing arm pivot, You would have a working rear suspension. Looks absolutely great!!

I see what you mean with the wire in the handle bars, For the V-Max I assembled the handle bars complete first then I put the gips and mirrors on afterwards, one thing that I did do is to use a bit more glue on the joins as to build up the strength, the model needed to have more holding joins on the pipes to get the holding strength up, but your model is looking good, well done.

I am now just busy doing the exhaurst sysem staddle then I am done, I have also completed the wheels early on.

barring any major delays I am aiming to be finishing by the middle of November with the model.

One thing Zathros with making the spring work on the MT01 and The V-Max is possible, but there is some mods that need to be done in that of adding extra strength to the hinge of the shock and arm, when the model was designed Mr Jap did not add that extra bit space to do that, I have throught about it for the V-max and I gave that idea a skip because the space needed to get it to work, the one thing that would also be good is to get the kick stand to also move as well but again space is a bit tight and strength again.

Voilà ! it was a long build but here it's done....c'était long mais j'en suis venu à bout ^^

But since you like it i 'm adding some last pics of the model in many angles :

Zathros

Those may have been the biggest pictures ever posted here! Normally, this would show up some glaring oversights, but in this case, it is an excellent pictorial reference of how to make this bike. I worked for a Yamaha dealer when these first came out. We weren't sure if the ere going to sell. They did, they sure did. I wish I could get a paper model of the bikes I own! Incredibly excellent! :)
