Has anyone ever needed to paint in Souther Pacific Daylight colors?

I just received my MTH One-Gauge GS4 Daylight in and they painted it in a strange color red.(light and florescent) I understand that they have done this with their O gauge releases... but anyways I want to attempt a repaint of the Red stripes down the side of the engine.

To this end, I ordered an airbrush + accessories and Floquil SP Daylight Red (and orange) in enamel and acrylic. When I saw the color through the bottle and finally compared it to the Floquil website I found the colors to be nowhere near what I consider (or know of today) as the Daylight colors.

I've seen pics of Riverossi HO scale Daylight cars and they are in PERFECT Beautiful colors. Has anyone needed to do a paint job in Daylight colors before and if so, what MFG of paint did you use and what color code?

Thanks for your help.

Yeah I know.... I've already painted a test surface and it matches what is in Floquil's color chart. :(

Thanks for the reply.

I've looked for a color chart for Scalecoat and can't find one. This is the only site I can find covering Scalecoat's paints and there isn't one there, just a list.

I learned the hard way with the Floquils (ordered 4 bottles via the internet) to make sure of the colors before I buy.... But maybe I need to take a chance and order a bottle.

Honestly, the Modelflex version would probably work, it is a tad dark but would work. I wasn't sure if someone knew of a good choice that they used.

I have seen these other Badger paints that look like they would be pretty close.

16-159 CP Action Red
16-158 CP Action Yellow

Their color chart is located here: http://badger-airbrush.com/images/RailRoadChart.jpg

Thanks for the reply and suggestion.
