I was thrilled when I found this paper model. I loved V (the original) when it was first aired back in the 80's and instantly fell in love with the ships. How I wanted a transport toy and action figures. Now at 46 I can have the whole fleet. LOL. I know they are a simple design but they realy speak to me. I wish I had not rushed through building them but I was so thrilled. I look and see all the flaws and where I can do better. Thats the one good thing about paper models you make a mistake just re print and start over. I am in the process of building more support crafts to go with this Transport and Tanker. I have even started to design a paper hanger.

You have done a great job on these models.
I have to ash, did you use magnets to make them modular or are these separate models?
I am looking at making mine modular (by using magents) when I build mine.

Hi I thought about using magnets but I decided to just build individual ones.

Thanks Thunderchild, they were fun to build. A few fit problems and scratching my head as to what goes were but all anyone has to do is view pics from the show and you can get the idea. The directions you did are beautifuly done and well thought out just as much as the models are. I am working on the Skyfighter and a large Troop transport now. If you have any ideas on other variants that you would think is cool let me know sometime. Would love to try and build up some diff. types. Cargo carrier but thinking of what it would look like any ieads?

Great job - i loved this series when it was first transmitted here in the U.K. It was on every night for a week... or was it two ? I was soooo into it. I also recall we was in the midst of an Heatwave - the windows wide open and fans blowing - this is RARE here  Great to see your builds of the craft, and nicely done too, top dollar to you :thumb:

Peter, I remember in the Summer of '74, the Sun showed it's face in Salford, England, and that was when I noticed the "extreme" humidity, and wished it would go away. That Summer in England was one of the longest "Autumns" of my life! I did treasure every minute of it. There was this one strange thing I saw on ITV, that I just couldn't understand, it had to do with a group of mine, each with a 2 half shells of a coconut, dancing and clacking these things together. I think they even called themselves the coconut dancers. Of course, being Puerto Rican, culturally, I had never noticed any of my peers enjoy such a rhythmic use of a coconut. I laughed so hard, I cried, and the people I was with did not understand what was so funny. Does this sound familiar to you, or was it just some vestige of a by gone time, when it took little to entertain the masses. :)

Hey John, not familiar with the programme you mentioned, i bet Phil {Gixergs} could shed some light on this announce1 PHIL!!!!!! We had some of the best TV programmes on the planet back then. V was certainly an eye opener to what could be achieved given the right budget ! The original, they say; is the best, and on this occasion they are most certainly right IMO, then they go and over-cook it, and everyone gets tired - same old same old so to speak. I couldn't wait to see the next episode of V - it was great to say the least.
