Further work on the landing legs,A very big thank you to UHU02 who is putting in a lot of extra work into this to get that "it could actually work" feel to it.

Oh, yes. I was thinking of making the landing gear for my Viper retractable but I fear it wouldn't be able to support the weight of the plane and would collapse. So I will prepare some special sockets for the fuselage to make the gear attachable and detachable.

I'm not sure that the X Wings u/c are retractable on this model but UHU02 has tried his best to design them so as they would retract into the engine nacelles of the real thing rather than, as with some fantasy designs, have them magically fit into an area obviously to small for them to be able to do so.

I've not noticed anything about scale, I'm sure one of our X Wing experts will be able to give a pretty good guess at some point

By taking a quick look at a few parts I'd say the size will be a bit smaller than my X-wing, so around 1/50 -1/55. Hard to say without proper measurements.
Edit: and of course, it depends on what you take as a reference for a "real-life" x-wing

Since UHU prepares vector graphics it shouldn't be a big problem to scale it up without losing quality.

UHU02 is really cracking along now that the wing frames are done. Some interesting pictures of how the "decoupage" style of detailing is done and how effective it is when finished.

lots of little bits go into making a bigger bit which is still a little bit that fits onto a bigger bit which is still quite small that slots into a bigger bit!!.
Just truly amazing paper engineering? paper art? paper Arteneering? paper Enginarting ?!!! UHU02's work merits the creation of a whole new vocabulary.
