trestle pics

    found some neat trestle pics in box.
    the first has C.M. on back assume it means Colorado Midland.
    cant read printing on bottom.

    next one i assume is in Colorado don't know for sure.

    Nice Pics Jim, Kinda makes you wonder why the curve in the first one though.
    Looks like alot of work to build one of those things.Even as a model LOL :)

    The first one looks like they may have started to build a trestle in a straight line (the stub ended track) but something stopped them, I'm not sure but in the photo the ground looks kinda like a slide area so may have not been solid enough for a trestle.

    The other looks like the trestle near promontory point in Utah. It was dismantled shortly after the driving of the golden spike when a better grade was made just further to the north and the original line was abandoned.
