Very nice work, X-man. I've always kind of wanted to build one of those myself. You did a great job on the rocks, too. I thought they were real until I saw the prepainted shots.
That is really amazing. So many of those bridges crossed so many valleys in the U.S.. I wondered how they could tell when they were going to give. All they had back then was creosote!!
The GoatCanyonTrestle is 186' tall and 630' long.It's the tallest curved wooden trestle ever built in the world. It is the largest freestanding Trestle Bridge in the world, and should be operational again by 2019!!
It's so close to completion that it is now guarded, and hiking is by permit only. They plan to run freight over that bridge!! I imagine sightseeing will soon follow. You're the only person that could do that bridge justice, ( there are a couple fo Train guys here that could too), but that's a very very small club!
