if memory serves right ogden is the large cp shop in calgary. i'd like to build something similar but compressed on my next layout. it should be large enough to hold a few dozen locos without looking overfilled. i really need a place to show some of my 250 or so cp rail locos....

now i need some ideas. does anyone of you have a trackpland of the ogden shops ?

    mike, any hints ?

I don't have Ogden but I do have a map of the Golden repair yard. I have witnessed up to 15 locomotives there plus around 500 bathtubs in the past. Drop me a line if you want it.

There's a web site that has aerial/satellite photos, http://terraserver.microsoft.com, covering most, if not all, of the USA. If you can find a similar site covering the Calgary area, you might find something helpful.

that's the only one i found so far. unfortunately this is a rather poor view of the tracks. at least not good enough to design a 1:160 copy of the yard.
    but thank you anyway :)

If it wasnt so darn cold (-30 C), Id just pop on down to the yard and take pics. I also had a book called "railways of Calgary". If I remember correctly, it had a few nice shots of the factility. I believe I lent it to Mike H....cant remember if he gave it back tho...

Here is a link....I belive I had the newer version...

    Sandro,

I have a scale map of the yard in the map book of Calgary I got last week, I could scan them and send them to you if you are still interested?

    Wouldn't mind the scan either.
Can't hurt to have some real train layout plans to help one figure out a model layout. ;)

    If, you don't mind...
